Rio em Cena

When cities become stories.

Experience DesignAudiovisualTourismCultureStorytelling
01 · Context

The starting ground.

Rio de Janeiro is one of the most culturally dense cities in the world, yet its stories live mostly offline.

02 · Problem

The question.

How might we let visitors experience the city as a living narrative rather than a checklist?

03 · Research

Listening first.

Field research with cultural producers, filmmakers and city institutions revealed an appetite for cinematic, location-based storytelling.

04 · Strategy

A point of view.

Treat the city as an open-air film — every neighborhood a scene, every visitor a co-author.

05 · Process

From idea to artifact.

Editorial framework → Geolocation system → Audiovisual production pipeline → Visual identity.

06 · Solution

What we shipped.

A multi-platform experience combining short films, geolocated content and editorial design — built in partnership with Embratur, Prefeitura do Rio and Vitrine Filmes.

07 · Impact

Why it mattered.

Reshaped how the city presents itself to a new generation of culturally driven travelers.

08 · Results
